Hello, hi, howzit .. and welcome!
My name is Victoria (like the Queen, or the Falls), but I usually go by Vicki for short. I’m a Joburg girl who loves to explore new places, travel and run free. I studied architecture and photography (many years ago) which is when my love for design, beautiful places and spaces really started to blossom.
I have many hobbies and creative outlets, many of which are on this website.
Photography
Photography has always been a true love of mine. I love to capture the world from behind a lens. I have several personal photography projects behind the scenes, which will hopefully come to something in the not-too-distant future.
If you would like to hire me for a photographic shoot, please get in touch here. I specialise in architectural and interior photography, however I’m not limited to these genres. You will find several of my architectural portfolio shoots on this website, including images which have been featured in SA Homeowner and other renowned magazines and websites.
Handmade Jewellery (For Sale)
I love creating beautiful vibrant earrings and necklaces using a variety of beads, semi-precious stones and found objects. This has been a hobby for many, many years and has been rediscovered during lockdown’s home clear-outs and spring cleaning. My jewellery making skills have been self-taught and have improved over the years through trial and error. It is important to note that all my creations are handmade. This means that differences in colour, finish and texture may occur, making each piece unique with the possibility of slight variations and imperfections.
One of my current favourite items to make is knotted necklaces, you’ll find some of these in my store.
If you decide to support me and purchase any of my jewelled creations, I’d love to see you wearing them. Tag me on Instagram with @vickipilcher (but please keep photos above board, no nudes please 😉).
I’d love to hear from you, if you have any questions or require further information, please check my FAQ, or get in touch here.
I look forward to hearing from you 😊
This one is decadent, and a bit of a shlep. I’m never a fan of a recipe that requires a lot of pots or bowls, but if you’re up to the challenge, this one is worth it in the end.
I recently made this recipe as bar-one cheesecake Easter eggs (rather than one full tart). What a treat.
